Jess & Ryan – Many Glacier Elopement – September 2017

Would you give me just a short background to how you met, your relationship, and engagement? Our first date was a blind date, the result of a set up by mutual friends. They had been bugging us for months to meet because they thought we would get along great! I was in Africa at the time, and Ryan was traveling the world for work. We finally met for the first time at Oktoberfest in Utah. Come to find out we grew up less than 2 miles from each other. We very quickly became two peas in a pod from that first date. Fast forward 4 years, almost to the day from that first date, Ryan proposed to me inView full post »

D’Juliet and Ben – Glacier National Park Elopement

With a name like D’Juliet how can it not be one of those most beautiful and romantic shoots of your life!?  This bride and groom eloped in Glacier National Park in October.  It was a cold and windy day, which actually a whole element that I absolutely fell in love with.  Drama and action and adventure!  When we were on the shores of the lake there were gusts that blew water onto us!  Hair and dress blowing in the wind, I loved every second of this wedding.  And I couldn’t stop talking about her dress!!!! I just couldn’t get over how it fit and moved and took your breathView full post »

How to Elope in Glacier National Park

In the northwest corner of Montana sits a hidden gem of the earth.  It is a park so naturally beautiful it is known as the “Crown of the Continent.”  It is North America’s Swiss Alps and in my opinion, there is no better place to be married.  It is jaw-droppingly gorgeous, romantic, and adventurous. I love taking photos everywhere, but I never feel as inspired as I do when I’m in Glacier photographing weddings.  Hopefully you fall in love with this little piece of heaven (it was actually used in the movie What Dreams May Come as heaven) as much as I have.  Here’s a link toView full post »

Lauren and Andrew – Glacier National Park Smoky Elopement

This elopement was photographed in the thick of one of the worst fire season’s in Montana and Glacier National Park’s History. Days before the bride called me and asked if I thought we should cancel it. They already had their license and all the details were in place but the air was considered hazardous, and was honestly, ugly and disgusting. But I had a spot in mind on the river that I had used before when the clouds were low and you couldn’t see the mountains and I told her that I thought it would make for beautiful photos. So we went for it! And I’m so glad we did.View full post »

Haley & Matt – July 1, 2017 – Glacier National Park Elopement

In the northwest corner of Montana sits a hidden gem of the earth.  It is a park so naturally beautiful it is known as the “Crown Jewel of the Continent.”  It is North America’s Swiss Alps and it jaw-dropping gorgeous, and in my opinion, there is no better place to be married.  It is beautiful, romantic, and adventurous.  I love taking photos anywhere but I never feel as inspired as I do when I’m in Glacier photographing weddings.  Hopefully you fall in love with this little piece of heaven (it was actually used in the movie What Dreams May Come as heaven) as much as I have. Jen & Tyler – July 2017 – Glacier National Park Elopement

These are what elopement dreams are made of.  Sweet and simple.  Perfect lighting, epic mountains.  Cute couple.  Family and love. A lakeshore ceremony, mountains surrounding them, the fish jumping and making perfect little rings in the mirror-like water. This is why people travel the world over to be married and celebrate their love in Glacier National Park, one of the most beautiful spots on earth. From the bride. Could you give me just a short background to how you met, your relationship, and engagement? We were childhood friends and started dating in college. We dated for 7 years beforeView full post »

Briana & Jacob – Many Glacier Elopement

Many Glacier is well worth the extra 2 and 1/2 hour drive from Kalispell for an epic elopement in Glacier National Park.  It’s weddings like this that are why I love being a Glacier National Park Wedding Photographer. From the Bride: We are high school sweethearts. At the time of our wedding, we’d been engaged for 4 years. We spent that time accomplishing goals we set for ourselves as a couple, such as graduating college, starting our careers, building a home, and planning our dream wedding. Staying true to ourselves as individuals and as a couple was our jumping off point for planningView full post »

Traci & Ron – August 2016 – Glacier Elopement

One factor that many people don’t consider when planning their wedding in Montana is what time is best for photos.  When the sun is rising and the sun is setting is by FAR the best time for photos…and in Montana that can be really late!  In June and July the sun sets around 9, mid August around 8:30 and September around 7:30.    If you want the OPTIMAL time you’ll want to plan on doing photos starting an hour before the sunset, so if your ceremony lasts a half hour then plan the ceremony time an hour and a half before sunset.  I realize this can be hard if you have aView full post »

Kate & Mikal – Glacier National Park Elopement

Kate and Mikal were married July 18 on the north shore of Lake McDonald in Glacier National Park with a reception at The Belton Chalet in West Glacier. It’s wedding like these that make me love being a wedding photographer in Glacier National Park.  Small, intimate, romantic. Your closest family and friends surrounding you and sharing in the celebration of your love.  It’s no wonder that small weddings and intimate elopements have become so popular. The bride got ready at the beautiful and historic Belton Chalet in West Glacier, where the reception was also held. Their guests rodeView full post »
